Short Bio:
I was born and raised in a small town in rural West Texas. Grew up as a farmer. I have been engaged professionally, after studying history and political science, in the fashion industry. Since 2014, I have been working to promote sustainability and circularity within the industry. I still do. It was partly thanks to this that I started to work in blockchain technologies shortly after ethereum gave us the ability to use smart contracts. I saw it as a way to solve the transparency and supply chain traceability problems in the fashion industry. Progress on that front is coming very rapidly now! It is a very good step in the right direction for making the industry circular. This work in the circular fashion sector has lead me through to the ReFi space. Where I am happily ensconced until we see ReFi as just the normal thing and not a thing.
When and what was your first touchpoint with ReFi?
I created a ReFi project Jerri.wtf in conjunction with a charity wetrybetter.com. When I created it I had not heard the term ReFi, I just wanted to create a project that put our values back in what we deem valuable. Turns out that is ReFi in a nutshell.
What fascinates you most about ReFi?
The ability to restructure monetary systems in a way that Regeneration is built into the system and not an afterthought.
Fun Facts about you:
I showed sheep and trained boarder collie sheep dogs.
Your favorite ReFi protocol/project:
Gitcion grants stack Allo protocol, or Kyoto protocol
