Why is Bitcoin interesting? Bitcoin introduced the world to blockchain technology. The Bitcoin ecosystem has sparked a wave of innovation, leading to the creation of thousands of cryptocurrencies (altcoins), blockchain projects, and decentralized applications (dApps). Bitcoin operates on a decentralized network, meaning it is not controlled by any single entity, government, or organization. Bitcoin has a capped supply of 21 million coins, making it a deflationary asset. Limited supply often leads to increased demand and potential for long-term value appreciation.
My touchpoints with Bitcoin so far: It all started with Satoshi’s whitepaper and the “rabbit hole” a few years ago when I was researching the complexity and relevance of Bitcoin. My involvement with Bitcoin and blockchain technology is reflected in my participation in several specialized programs and projects.
