Why is Bitcoin interesting? Blockchain works a decentralized register according to clear rules, a distributed consensus, and defines ownership rights by allowing only entering and reading information, similar to a cash book. It is able to reduce the need for intermediaries and enhances transparency and security. Applied to digital currencies, blockchain technology enables borderless, peer-to-peer transactions, offering financial inclusion; it is able to enhance transparency and traceability in supply chains. Tokenization combines technical and legal aspects, it can simplify and accelerate processes and make RWAs accessible to small investors.
My touchpoints with Bitcoin so far: With years of experience in software development in industry and business and as a lecturer and system administrator at a university, blockchain technology took hold of me about five years ago and hasn’t let go since. Both, the diverse use cases and the technology fascinate me. I am currently working on the use of tokenization, particularly in the field of renewable energies, RWA and start-ups.
