Short Bio: Dr. Al-Salqan is the co-founder and CEO of i-Jaffa.Net Software, has a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Illinois, USA. Before starting i-Jaffa.Net, he worked as a senior security engineer at Sun Microsystems in the Silicon Valley, USA and before Sun was a research professor at West Virginia University. He has registered 10 patents in the USA and Europe in the Internet Security and PKI and chaired and spoke in many international conferences including RSA Conference, JavaOne, IEEE COMPSAC and IEEE Enterprise security Workshop and published more than 50 referred articles.
Dr. Al-Salqan is a mentor to NFT Talents, DLT Talents, and Bitcoin Talents Programs and was voted as a Bitcoin Talent Superstar.
What fascinates you most about Bitcoin? Understanding Bitcoin allows one to understand the rest of crypto protocols and currencies, it is not true the other way around however. In addition, Bitcoin with Lightning Network revolutionize the economy and puts the power in the hands of individuals. Bitcoin is ethical, represents freedom, and based on science and math that I trust.
My touchpoints with Bitcoin so far: I am working on a project that uses Lightning and Satoshi for payment and rewards.
