Why is ReFi interesting? I found Regenerative Finance interesting because it combines financial innovation with environmental regeneration. By seeking to redirect financial flows towards projects and activities that restore nature, promote biodiversity, and combat climate change.
As I happened to be someone working tooth and nail on curving environmental crises, ReFi offers to me a promising pathway to align financial systems with the well-being of both people and the planet.
My touchpoints with blockchain and ReFi so far: First was in June c.2022, heard from Diego Espinoza of Voiz academy in the context of “circular economy”, then reintroduced to it in c.2023 by FSBC and ECOTA as “regenerative finance”.
