Why is ReFi interesting? Regenerative Finance (ReFi) offers a transformative approach to finance, aiming not just to mitigate harm but to actively heal and restore our planet’s ecosystems and social fabric. The current financial system, with its inherent biases and narrow metrics like GDP, falls short of driving the profound changes needed. I believe that the integration of Web 3.0 technology with deep ecological and social principles is essential to creating a financial system that is truly equitable, sustainable, and resilient.
My touchpoints with blockchain and ReFi so far: I have been focused on sustainability in capital markets since 2017, and more recently, I’ve expanded my expertise by taking various courses on climate change, energy, and water. Although I am still new to the Regenerative Finance (ReFi) space, I am actively exploring the potential of Web 3.0 technologies and learning about the innovative possibilities they bring
