Why is ReFi interesting? Procurement is crucial in mitigating climate change, as a substantial portion of emissions stems from the supply chain. By adopting a proactive and environmentally responsible approach, procurement can significantly impact emissions reduction. Regenerative Finance (ReFi) facilitates this transformation by leveraging Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), Web3, Blockchain, and AI to enhance resource tracking, efficiency, and transparency. Additionally, ReFi’s principles support a circular economy, optimizing procurement strategies for long-term value and effective climate action.
My touchpoints with blockchain and ReFi so far: Sustainability Initiatives, Digital Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Personal Regeneration Levers (e.g. reducing own carbon footprint, investing in green technologies, supporting ethical brands)
