Why is ReFi interesting? ReFi is exciting because it brings together financial innovation and caring for our planet, which is a compelling combination. By focusing on regenerative principles, ReFi aims to restore and enhance our natural and social systems—something we desperately need. I love how ReFi leverages blockchain and other emerging technologies to bring transparency and fairness to areas like carbon credits, making it easier for everyone to get involved in meaningful change. For me, it is about being part of something bigger that is pushing the world in the right direction.
My touchpoints with blockchain and ReFi so far: My journey with ReFi began with my dissertation, where I explored how blockchain technology can address climate change, specifically focusing on its potential to enhance carbon credit systems. Since then, I have had the opportunity to participate in ReFi programs and hackathons, working with amazing people to develop creative solutions for the environment. My work as a Business Development Consultant, along with my writing about blockchain, has helped me explore ReFi’s potential and share these insights with others. It has been an exciting journey, and I am looking forward to continuing to grow in this space.
