Why is ReFi interesting? ReFi is particularly interesting to me because it represents a transformative approach to finance that goes beyond traditional ESG frameworks by actively regenerating natural and social capital. The ReFi’s mission to shape a sustainable financial future aligns perfectly with my professional goals and research interests, particularly in integrating sustainable practices into SMEs. I am eager to leverage the program’s tools and network to drive meaningful changes in financial practices, fostering a more sustainable economy.
My touchpoints with blockchain and ReFi so far: Within my current role as CRO in a Bank, I have gained substantial experience in finance and risk management, with a strong focus on integrating sustainability and ESG principles into our core operations. As the ESG project sponsor, I have led initiatives to align ESG frameworks with our business strategies, ensuring mutual value creation and long-term impact. My ongoing EMBA capstone project explores how SMEs in Germany can leverage financial advisory services to embed sustainability into their operations.
