Introduction
In late 2020, we at the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center launched DLT Talents, an open educational program challenging the status quo by providing women -an underrepresented demographic- with an interactive, community-driven introduction to blockchain technology.
Since then, DLT Talents has inspired multiple spin-off programs, including DeFi Talents, Bitcoin Talents, and others – collectively known as the Web3 Talents educational programs. Web3 Talents boasts a strong alumni network of thousands of graduates from around the world.

Methodology
All Web3 Talents programs are remote mentorship programs with a strong emphasis on collective and individual learning. We meet once a week via Zoom to discuss the latest developments, and insights from the last session’s assignment, and hear from a guest speaker with practical experience in their area of expertise.
Sessions typically take place on weekday afternoons, Frankfurt time. Join us from anywhere in the world and learn alongside a global community—all for free, thanks to our sponsors and the patronage of the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management’s Blockchain Center.
Background: Preparing for a world with AI
In recent years the establishment of several generative AI models as everyday tools has demonstrated the capabilities of Large Language Models. This technology is here to stay, for better or for worse. Why not step-up your expertise on the matter?
AI is already revolutionizing the financial industry, from automating risk assessment to optimizing fraud detection and wealth management. But its impact goes far beyond finance. In healthcare, AI enhances diagnostics and accelerates drug discovery, while in education, it personalizes learning experiences.
Our course is designed to guide you towards a holistic understanding of AI, including future developments, and present applications, to support your journey towards becoming an AI expert.
Course Content
AI Talents is designed to provide a structured yet flexible learning experience, equipping participants with essential knowledge and practical insights into artificial intelligence. Over the course of 7 weeks, we will explore key AI concepts, emerging technologies, and real-world applications across various industries.
Participants will engage with foundational AI principles, delve into cutting-edge advancements like generative AI and machine learning, and examine the ethical and regulatory considerations shaping the field. Through interactive mentorship sessions, industry expert talks, and peer discussions, participants will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge.

What can you expect from participating in a Web3 Talents program?
Mentorship in a Web3 Talents program is a little different. We will not be holding (m)any lectures. Our role as the Web3 Talents team is bringing you together with your peers, providing a structured learning approach, and creating connections to industry insiders. Weekly remote sessions are a key tactic to bring together people from different countries.
These are the key principles of our program:
- You are your own teacher. We want to empower participants to learn about AI through blended learning concepts built upon peer learning. This is explicitly NOT a university lecture. We will facilitate the learning journey by providing you with curated assignments and a peer-to-peer learning environment.
- Sharing is caring. In the Zoom sessions, we will review learning and clarify open questions. We will ask you to actively share the products of your studies to foster progress through group reflection and sharing of our perspectives towards a common topic.
- Content is everything. We will ask you to become an AI co-creator, for instance, by writing a blog article, interviewing other AI experts or creating a video on an AI topic (e.g. on Medium or YouTube) We want to foster execution. But no worries, we’re sure whatever you create will be brilliant!

What is the agenda for each Zoom session?
Each weekly session will have roughly the following structure and a duration of 90 minutes:
- AI/Web3 news (7 min)
- Administrative/Tip of the week (3 min)
- Participant presentations (25 min)
- Reflections from the group (20 min)
- Assignment for the next session (5 min)
- Guest speaker presentations (20 min)
- Q&A (10 min)
After the introduction of each session, in which we will briefly reflect on developments since the last session, participants are split up into break out rooms. Here they will present the slides they prepared in response to last session assignment. The goal here is not to lecture, but rather to showcase only your key insights. Quality over quantity. Everyone is encouraged to present and discuss.
Following these breakout rooms, we will come back together to continue the most interesting discussions that came up during the breakout rooms. The goal here is to deepen and enrich our collective understanding of the topic at hand. Finally, we introduce the assignment for next week and hand over to our expert guest speaker for a keynote.
