Why is blockchain interesting? I’m passionate about innovative technologies and since I’m working in the financial services, about blockchain in particular. What fascinates me, is that blockchain has the potential to completely restructure an industry. It challenges existing companies and obliges them to explore and to adjust their existing business models. I am glad to be part of an industry that provides multiple use cases for blockchain and thus, alongside challenges also a lot of opportunities which I’m curious to discover and actively participate to make them evolve over the next vew years.
My touchpoints with blockchain and DLT so far: I initially got in touch with blockchain technology when doing my PhD on value creation through innovative technologies. Since then, I have 4 years of experience working in a dedicated Digital Assets & Blockchain team within a large European bank. As this is a rapidly evolving field (technically, legally, operationally speaking), I am currently in an optimal position to continuously expand my knowledge of blockchain and its use cases.
