Why is blockchain interesting? Blockchain is intriguing for several reasons. Firstly, it provides a high level of security by using cryptography to create tamper-proof transaction records, making it challenging for hackers to compromise data. Secondly, blockchain ensures transparency through publicly viewable transactions on a shared ledger, promoting trust and accountability. Lastly, its decentralized nature eliminates the need for a central authority, reducing the risk of fraud or manipulation. These features make blockchain an attractive technology for a broad range of applications.
My touchpoints with blockchain and DLT so far: In my previous work within the oil and gas industry, I believe that blockchain technology has the potential to streamline supply chain management, enhance transparency, and automate complex processes such as royalty payments and compliance. By utilizing blockchain, we can ensure accurate and tamper-proof records of oil and gas movement from extraction to distribution. Additionally, blockchain opens up possibilities for a decentralized marketplace, facilitating direct transactions and reducing the need for intermediaries. These touchpoints demonstrate the transformative potential of blockchain technology in our industry.
