Why is DeFi interesting? DeFi continues to redefine finance by eliminating intermediaries and providing direct, permissionless access to financial services. The integration of real-world assets (RWAs)—such as tokenized real estate, bonds, and commodities—brings tangible value on-chain, bridging traditional finance with decentralized systems. This convergence unlocks new opportunities for liquidity, yield, and accessibility while accelerating innovation across the ecosystem. DeFi isn’t just a movement—it’s a rapidly expanding framework that’s revolutionizing how we interact with financial and real-world assets globally.
My touchpoints with DeFi so far: A few years ago, I ventured into the world of cryptocurrencies, which led me to explore NFTs and web3 technologies. Since then, I’ve immersed myself in research on building NFT marketplaces, tokenomics, and the broader implications of blockchain and DLT. Integrating my passion for NFTs and web3 into my professional life, I launched an innovative NFT product and an app for digital art. Actively engaging with creators and communities in the space, I’ve attended events like World of Women fest, Alphafounders, and Art Basel Miami, further deepening my understanding and involvement in blockchain and DLT technologies as well as building a network in the space.
