Why is DeFi interesting? DeFi reimagines traditional financial systems by removing intermediaries like banks and brokers, enabling peer-to-peer transactions through blockchain technology. It offers greater accessibility and inclusivity, allowing anyone with an internet connection to access financial services such as lending, borrowing, trading, and earning yield. It is a way to rethink how society interacts with money and exchange mediums, while including everyone regardless of their background and geographical location. The future is, in my opinion, decentralized.
My touchpoints with DeFi so far: I first got to know blockchain in my Master’s study, back in 2017. Since then I am following the DLT innovation and the emotional rollercoasters that come with it. Coincidentally, my previous company decided to launch its own token in 2021, and during that time until today I transitioned from a spectator to a contributing member of the Web3 society, using DeFi apps and building the future of FinTech.
