Why is DeFi interesting? DeFi is fascinating because it completely reimagines how we handle money, removing the need for banks and letting people interact directly through blockchain technology. It opens up financial services to anyone with an internet connection, making the system more inclusive and fair. I love how innovative it is, introducing new concepts like yield farming and tokenized assets, which offer fresh opportunities for people to grow their wealth. Plus, the transparency of DeFi make it feel like the future of finance.
My touchpoints with DeFi so far: My first exposure to blockchain came during my time as a technology consultant at EY, where I worked on digital transformation and began to explore the potential of this technology. Later, I founded SheKnowsDeFi to make decentralized finance more accessible, mentoring women and advocating for gender diversity in the space. My PhD research focuses on how blockchain and AI can drive sustainability in Crypto Valley Zug, giving me a deeper understanding of its applications. Through my role as a mentor at DLT Talents, I’ve been able to stay connected with the latest developments and actively contribute to the Web3 ecosystem.
