Why is DeFi interesting? Decentralized Finance (DeFi) is interesting, because it serves as a reflective bridge between traditional finance and emerging financial technologies. It highlights the inherent limitations of conventional financial systems while paving the way for greater transparency and innovation. In my perspective, DeFi represents an advanced financial technology rather than an entirely new financial system.
My touchpoints with DeFi so far: In 2019, when I began my master studies at CBS International Business School, I developed a profound appreciation for the vital role of innovation and technology in shaping the past, present and future of Business & Finance. This discovery influenced my master thesis titled “Centralised v/s Decentralised Finance: the Future of the Financial System”. In this research study, I conducted a comparative analysis of both paradigms, evaluating their integration potential within holistic financial models using a Python-based financial calculator for statistical and quantitative insights. Through the DeFi Talents Program, I am further enhancing my expertise by exploring practical applications of decentralized finance concepts.
