Why is DeFi interesting? DeFi is fascinating because it represents an alternative shape in how financial services are designed, accessed, and delivered. Every transaction on a DeFi platform is recorded on a public blockchain, making them fully auditable. This level of transparency is unprecedented in traditional finance.
My touchpoints with DeFi so far: My touchpoints with blockchain and DeFi include experience in algorithmic trading and investing in cryptocurrencies, where I honed an understanding of market dynamics and technical analysis. Additionally, I contributed as a research assistant to Lorenzo Schoenleber’s paper, “Implied Impermanent Loss: A Cross-Sectional Analysis of Decentralized Liquidity Pools,” that explains the liquidity provision in DeFi.
