Why is DeFi interesting? For me it is the next logical step of digitalization. We can transport messages in seconds across the world. It makes sense that the same logic shall also be applied to assets (hint: RWA). What intrigues me about DeFi is that there are no central gatekeepers that can decide what I am allowed to do with my assets and what not, it is breath of freedom from over-regulated financial markets that claim to protect small investors.
My touchpoints with DeFi so far: I was a core team member of the second German entity to receive the crypto custody license. Since three years I am now focusing on RWA and am a product manager for tokenization at NYALA Digital Asset AG
