Why is DeFi interesting? I find DeFi interesting because it represents a fundamental shift in how financial systems operate—moving away from centralized intermediaries toward open, transparent, and decentralized solutions. As someone with extensive experience in traditional banking and risk management, I see DeFi as an opportunity to address inefficiencies, improve accessibility, and build trust through blockchain technology. I am particularly intrigued by its potential to democratize finance, empower individuals and businesses, and foster innovation in areas like lending, payments, and asset management.
My touchpoints with DeFi so far: So far, my touchpoints with DeFi and blockchain have been through my Digital Management courses at HEC Paris and the ReFi Talent program at the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center. The ReFi Talent program allowed me to explore how blockchain can be leveraged for regenerative finance, focusing on creating sustainable and impactful solutions. This experience deepened my understanding of the intersection between decentralized technology and real-world challenges, sparking my interest in applying these principles to drive innovation in finance.
