Why is Bitcoin interesting? Bitcoin is an intriguing digital currency due to its decentralized nature, fixed supply, transparent transaction history, and ability to facilitate rapid, global and censorship-resistant payments. These unique properties have generated significant interest in Bitcoin as a potential store of value and innovative financial technology, though it also faces volatility and regulatory challenges at the moment.
My touchpoints with Bitcoin so far: My Bitcoin journey began in 2017 when I first learned about the cryptocurrency. Since 2019, I’ve been actively accumulating Bitcoin, weathering its dramatic price fluctuations over the years – from the meteoric rise to $20,000, to the major crashes, and the subsequent bull runs to new all-time highs. This hands-on experience of acquiring and holding Bitcoin for over 5 years has given me a deep understanding of its properties, use cases, and the evolving ecosystem. Looking back, this multi-year perspective has been an invaluable and formative experience, shaping my conviction in Bitcoin’s long-term potential, as evidenced by my continued commitment to building my BTC holdings.
