Why is Bitcoin interesting? Bitcoin is like a safety net against governments inflating their currencies and messing up the economy. Unlike traditional money, which can be printed endlessly, Bitcoin is capped at 21 million coins, so it holds its value over time. It’s decentralized, meaning no government or bank controls it, making transactions secure and censorship-resistant. In a world where politicians manipulate money, Bitcoin gives people financial independence and a way to opt out of a broken system.
My touchpoints with Bitcoin so far: I first got exposed to Bitcoin during my time at Timechain Summer of Code, where I worked with smart contracts and explored Satoshi’s white paper. That experience gave me a solid understanding of Bitcoin’s core principles, like decentralization and immutability. More recently, I’ve been following the news and advancements in Bitcoin, keeping up with its evolving role in finance, technology, and regulation, which has reinforced my understanding of its impact on the global economy
