Why is Bitcoin interesting? Bitcoin is interesting because it challenges traditional financial systems and redefines the concept of money, decentralisation and personal sovereignty. It operates on a transparent, borderless and censorship-resistant network that allows anyone to store and transfer value without relying on banks or governments. The deeper you explore Bitcoin, the more it forces you to rethink economics, history, energy, security and even human incentives. Like a mirror, it reveals gaps in your understanding of how systems work, making you question everything from inflation to personal responsibility. Its impact goes beyond finance, influencing philosophy, technology and even personal freedom.
My touchpoints with Bitcoin so far: I first got into Bitcoin a few years ago, initially attracted by the potential for financial gain, but I quickly realised it was much more than just an investment. The more I studied it, the more I understood its revolutionary implications for money, freedom and decentralised systems. Now, at opago, I’m actively helping traditional businesses adopt Bitcoin and Stablecoins via the Lightning Network, making transactions faster and more efficient. Bitcoin has gone from being a speculative asset to a fundamental part of my daily work and philosophy. It’s a journey of continuous learning and I’m excited to be part of this financial and technological transformation.
