Why is Bitcoin interesting? Bitcoin fascinates me because it represents both financial independence and technological innovation. As an engineer, I am intrigued by its decentralized architecture, the security of its protocol, and its potential to reshape global finance. Through my experience in ReFi, I have come to appreciate how Bitcoin can serve as a foundation for regenerative financial systems by enabling transparency, self-sovereignty, and long-term value preservation. My curiosity about Bitcoin has already led me to learn about investing in it, but I am eager to dive deeper into its mechanisms, economic implications, and role in a more equitable financial future.
My touchpoints with Bitcoin so far: My touchpoints with Bitcoin began when I joined a program led by an alumna of the Bitcoin Talent initiative, where I learned the fundamentals of Bitcoin and how to invest in it. A few months ago, I took the step to make my first Bitcoin investment, gaining firsthand experience in navigating the ecosystem. As a participant in the ReFi Talents program, I have been exploring the broader applications of blockchain, which has deepened my curiosity about Bitcoin’s role as the most established and decentralized digital asset. Now, I am eager to expand my knowledge beyond investment and understand Bitcoin’s technical foundations, economic impact, and potential for driving financial sovereignty.
