Why is Bitcoin interesting? In the current financial landscape, Bitcoin stands out as a premier asset for long-term capital accumulation, surpassing traditional investments like gold and government bonds from various nations. Its decentralised framework and robust security features instill a sense of confidence in investors, ensuring the safety of their assets even amidst political upheavals or economic downturns.
My touchpoints with Bitcoin so far: I initially invested in Bitcoin in 2017 and still retain a portion of my original purchase. In 2021, I sold some of my Bitcoin to finance investments in real estate development. This decision certainly helped to diversify my portfolio, although it did result in a decline in overall profitability. At present, I plan to hold onto my Bitcoin for the long term while also looking into other cryptocurrencies for short- and medium-term investment opportunities.
